Keeping busy

All of this cold weather has forced us inside. The good news is that Andrew is discovering his creative side.  Here are a few of his activities this week.  He started the week out with making a peg person. After looking at the pattern he decided to make a girl with a rainbow dress.

Later that day he built a lifeguard chair at out of his blocks (thanks Aunt Lisa)

We finished the day off with arts and crafts.  Andrew had to make a Valentine's Day box for school.  After scouring the internet for ideas he decided on an alligator.  He is sooooo proud of it!

When all is quiet...you should be concerned

After getting so much grief for not taking pictures of Andrew and the toothpaste incident I had to grab the camera for this one. Today I learned what happens when you think all is quiet and happy while you chat on the phone a little too long. When I left him he was happily coloring and I thought aww, how nice is this. He is busy and I can chat for a few minutes. When I checked in a few minutes later I had to run and grab the camera because this is what I found. When he saw the flash he looked up and said "Surprise, I'm spider man. See I have red legs and a red face and a red body. Now I need a blue tummy and black curvy lines all over my body." Obviously he was a man with a plan, and I say you should never interfere with a good plan! I mean really at this point there was going to be a lot of scrubbing, so why not just finish it off! Ta Da! The good news is that he used Crayola washable markers and true to their word they do wash right off. As an added bonus it's a great way to color the tub water!
